Computer is necessary in modern age. Computer has multifarious applications in various spheres of life. Computer education is vital these days. Computer education is the need of the day. But many rural areas and villages are deprived of computer facility. Many students in villages have heard about the value of computer but have not any sources to get practical knowledge about computer. In rural areas students of schools and colleges have not actually used computers. Rural women and girls are the victims of exploitation. At tender age they are sent to labor work or get married. Computer education to such deprived sector can help them in getting better job opportunities or self employment options as Computer education is immense important in day-to-day life.
To allow each student and group of society should derive benefit of computer education Shree Shanidham Trust has started Computer education programme. This programme aims to reach about almost deprived students.
For promoting computer education Shree Shanidham Trust has established Mobile Computer Education centers and libraries to spread the computer education in the remotest of the areas. The target is Youth, where they can learn and look for good job opportunities. Under this program A MOBILE COMPUTER VAN has been designed with 20 computers installed in it. It was launched in Dec’ 2006 and inaugurated by gracious hands of former Chief Minister of Rajasthan ‘Honorable Vasundhara Raje Sindhia’. This van with team of trained teachers visits all nearby villages to teach students three times in a week. Gurukul Aashwasan has been emerged as a major center of computer education. It has well equipped computer lab. About 100 computers have been installed in it. Time to time Trust keeps donating computers and Lap tops to institutes and schools. Once in a year Trust organizes district level program. In which computers and laptops are distributed to students who score above 90%.
